Kunstkritikk Reviews Anders Holen's "Pursed Lip, Fan in Hand"
We are thrilled to share that Kunstkritikk has published a review of our current exhibition by Anders Holen, Pursed Lip, Fan in Hand.
In the article titled "Happy hour på laben" (Happy hour at the lab), critic Maria Moseng explores the complex material universe Holen has constructed within the gallery. Moseng highlights Holen’s unique ability to transform the mundane into the magical, noting how his use of aluminum cooling fins serves as an "inspired re-enchantment of everyday life."
The review delves into the exhibition's themes of thermodynamics, biology, and connectivity, describing the show as a space where "biologoy is a network of infinite branches." Moseng praises the installation's energy and curiosity, observing how the works channel a science-fiction aesthetic that feels both futuristic and deeply grounded in physical processes.
We invite you to read the full review in Kunstkritikk (in Norwegian/Danish) via the link below and to experience the exhibition in person before it closes on February 7.
