We founded eiklid/rusten in 2025 with a shared wish to build something lasting for both artists and audiences. After ten years of running Golsa, Gard wanted to bring his international perspective closer to home, while Petter, with over fourteen years at Brandstrup, brought deep knowledge of the Norwegian art world. Together we want to create a gallery that combines these two perspectives, grounded in experience but open to new ideas.
Our program focuses mainly on contemporary painting, alongside more material-based practices. What connects the artists we work with is not a single style or generation, but a shared dedication to their craft. We want to support our artists in ways that help them grow and develop their practices over time. By introducing their work to new audiences, curators, museums and foreign galleries, we hope to build long-term relationships that create real opportunities and visibility.
eiklid/rusten is located in Frogner, Oslo, in what has become the city’s new gallery district. Norway feels like a young art nation right now, full of potential and energy, and we want to be part of that movement as it takes shape. The gallery is built on optimism, collaboration and curiosity, values we hope come through in everything we do.
